Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers ace Pedro Netu.
"We are pleased to announce that we have signed Netu for Portugal," Chelsea said on its official channel on Wednesday. Netu has signed a seven-year contract with Chelsea.
According to Fabrizio Romano, a reporter specializing in the transfer market, Chelsea will spend 60 million euros about 89.4 billion won in basic transfer fees and 3 million euros about 4.4 billion won in options for Netu.
Netu is a wing forward with many advantages. He has excellent dribbling ability and high speed. Accurate left foot kick ability is also Netu's strength. 메이저사이트
Netu, who wore the Wolverhampton jersey in August 2019, began to stand out with four goals and four assists in 44 official matches in the 2019/20 season. In the 2020/21 season, he improved to the next level with five goals and six assists in 35 games.
Netu, who was growing up as a main resource for Wolverhampton, suffered a knee injury in April 2021. This resulted in one goal and one assist in 13 games in the 2021/22 season and one assist in 19 games in the 2022/23 season. Netu, whose rise has been dampened, has succeeded in rebounding in the 2023/24 season. He led Wolverhampton's attack last season along with Hwang Hee-chan and Matheus Cunha with three goals and 11 assists in 24 games.
Chelsea are actively seeking to recruit Netu, an EPL semi-precision winger. Chelsea has offered a total of 63 million euros $94 billion and won Wolverhampton's consent. After successfully completing medical tests, Netu has officially become a Chelsea player.
Netu told Chelsea: "I'm very grateful to be here. I've worked really hard to be here, and I'm looking forward to the day I can wear this uniform to the stadium."
